The Stim 3 from David Steel Enetrprises is fairly new to the market and costs $925.00. The Stim 3 is a good unit with three easy to use programs; this simplicity is probably the units only saving characteristic.

 

The unit tested well in our laboratory setting, however, the power output is only 6 volts making it just a bit stronger than Slendertone but far below that of the StimRX.com models.  Not a unit to look at if you want something that will be able to grow with your needs over time or you are very serious about body building.

 

The company only offers one unit and they do not specialize in electrical muscle stimulators, which may account for some of the missed details.

 

The Stim 3 is a solid unit but the cost was off the charts compared to all others reviewed here. Bottom line overpriced and limited 1 yr warranty..

The Slendertone Ab belt is available for $199.80, but doesn’t offer nearly the quality of construction and performance or ease of operation of the other muscle stimulator systems. Since the price is nearly the same as the Stimrx units, the StimRx is obviously better value for your money. 

 

The Slendertone parent company spends the most on advertising and marketing. The brand recognition was strong among or reviewers. Check out our comparison to see how you think the quality and features compare to that of the other electronic muscle stimulator systems.

 

We also found the Slendertone stimulator to be limited to the abdominal area only. Another area of concern is that Slendertone uses only 3 aaa batteries as a power source. For this reason Slendertone was tested as the weakest muscle stimulator in our review.

Our staff tested several units from Toneamtic.com and just as with the TDR-64 they found many irregularities in the way the stimulation felt on the skin. The frequencies felt random with little consistent quality of muscle stimulation.

 

In our view Toneamatic units did not seem to have the manufacturing quality of either the Stimrx.com or RussianStim.com and their units have reported to show rather poor results.

 

Concerning muscle toning effectiveness the Toneamatic units seem to be similar to Slendertone Flex.

 

Testing revealed that all Toneamatic products use an older, weak 9 volt battery system.

 

We found the information on their website misleading and somewhat confusing. They advertise all products made in America but our research indicates most of their units come from China.

 

All told we had much better results with the StimRx.com and David Steele units in a shorter time frame, and were a lot more impressed with their quality. StimRx offered the strongest units.

 

There is also no money back guarantee offered, which is of slight concern. Overall we experienced faster results with the other muscle stimulators reviewed.
